Peter Farrell Physiotherapy

Peter has been practising physiotherapy for 42 years. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy and a Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety. Peter is a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Before moving to Bray Park (Murwillumbah), Peter worked from home in New City Road Mullumbimby and in the last 5 years at Mullumbimby Medical Centre.

Peter has a home-based practice with a private and relaxed feel. The space carpeted, clean, and air-conditioned.  He aims to be on-time for appointments.

Peter treats all musculoskeletal problems, most commonly people with back and neck problems, arm and leg pain, shoulders, knees and ankles. Peter spends time on careful assessment, explanation of findings and treatment rationale. Treatment is based around release of soft tissues, mobilisation of stiff joints, stretching and strengthening exercises for muscles. The aim is to restore good alignment, relieve pain and optimise function.   Peter uses therapeutic laser occasionally.  He does not use needles or thrust manipulations.

Peter is happy to see private patients, people with a doctor’s Care Plan, worker’s compensation and motor vehicle accident claims and veterans’ affairs. A doctor’s referral is not required. Peter has a lot of experience with work place injuries. He encourages DVA patients.

Consultations are usually for 1 hour, one to one.

Peter prefers to work mornings only.

Eftpos and Hicaps are available for payment and claiming.

Consultations are currently $120 for up to an hour.
